Psycho-diagnostic testing can assist in planning and implementing necessary accommodations, supports, and interventions for various psychological disorders. Psychologists use tests and other assessment tools to measure and observe a client’s behavior to arrive at a diagnosis and to guide treatment.
Neuropsychological Evaluation involves a detailed and comprehensive assessment of cognitive strengths and weaknesses to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning with various neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders. Concerns about early signs of dementia, adult ADHD, or other cognitive processing changes can be evaluated using neuropsychological testing.
Psycho-educational testing can clarify the reasons why school or the workplace have been such a challenge for you, your partner, or your child. By evaluating and documenting particular areas of functioning or disability for school or employment settings, psycho-educational testing is useful in both in the development of intervention plans, and in establishing eligibility for services, accommodations, and benefits.
Developmental assessments can help to identify cognitive and adaptive deficits (e.g., Intellectual Disabilities), as well as deficits in social-emotional development (e.g., Autism, including High Functioning Autism formerly known as Asperger’s syndrome) that impair the functioning of children and adults across the domains of home, school, work, and social/community environments
