William Stejskal is a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist practicing in Virginia and Washington D.C.

Dr. Stejskal provides forensic mental health consultation, evaluations, and expert testimony in legal matters, both criminal and civil. Whether for purposes of diagnosis and treatment planning, or for a legal determination, Dr. Stejskal relies whenever possible on multiple sources of information, often including psychological testing, to improve the reliability and accuracy of his opinions and recommendations.

Dr. Stejskal has served as an evaluator, expert witness, or consultant in criminal and civil cases in Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, South Carolina, Florida, New York, West Virginia, Georgia, Illinois, and Hawaii.  He has provided training to psychologists, psychiatrists, attorneys, law enforcement personnel, and judges on issues related to forensic mental health evaluations, including risk assessment, developmental trauma, capital mitigation, evaluation processes, making effective use of mental health experts, and managing bias as an evaluator and an expert witness.

Dr. Stejskal is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, Dr. Stejskal completed his doctoral studies at Colorado State University in 1984. He subsequently became active in clinical and forensic mental health practice in the Washington, DC area. In 1989, Dr. Stejskal established an independent practice in Woodbridge, Virginia.
